The Donald Greig Gallery and Foundry is located in the heart of Cape Town’s historic harbour area – a true crossroads of the world. Ali Greig has transformed an old port building into a calm, contemplative space in which to display a thoughtfully curated selection of her husband’s sculptures.

Significant metal artifacts recall Cape Town’s industrial past, while master craftsmen employ an ancient metallurgical process to bring Donald’s sculptures to life. This is a natural home for Africa’s largest bronze foundry, with the regeneration of Cape Town’s harbour honouring the city’s rich heritage.

The Thomas Heatherwick-designed Zeitz MOCAA – our near neighbour is the perfect example of repurposing our shared past.

Wax is lost as a leopard leaps; grain silos become a contemporary art space and hotel; new ideas are planted in old yet fertile soils.
